Recently, Downingtown High School students received accolades from state representative Dan Williams for planning a food drive as part of their Diwali celebration. More than ten cases of food, including rice, pasta, and canned items, were gathered by the kids, who gave them to the Chester County Food Bank together with leaders Stuti Anand and Sreesh Gudala. Diwali, sometimes referred to as the festival of lights, is a time when students can help those who are food insecure because it is connected to giving and fresh starts. Its important to care and prioritize our community as a whole at a young age, the world is a harsh place, and helping out benefits everyone in a positive way. Greeshma Bolla, Meenansree Gudala, and Srinidh Bonigiri were among the other students that contributed to the project.
